I.

Basic Provisions

  1. The controller of personal data pursuant to Article 4 (7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter “GDPR”) is Modern Midlife Mentors, ID No: 10741372, with its registered office at Ovenecká 99/45, Bubeneč, 170 00 Prague 7, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section C, Insert 258172, hereinafter referred to as: “Controller”.

  2. The contact details of the Controller are the following:
    Address: Ovenecká 99/45, Bubeneč, 170 00 Prague 7.

  3. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is a natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to a specific identifier, such as name, identification number, location data, network identifier or one or more specific physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

II.

Sources and Categories of Personal Data Processed

  1. The Controller processes the personal data that you have provided to them or the personal data that the Controller has obtained by filling in the online form by you.

  2. The Controller processes your identification and contact data and the data necessary for the performance of the contract.

 

III.

Legal Reason and Purpose of Personal Data Processing

  1. The legal reason for processing personal data is:

    • performance of the contract between you and the Controller pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b) GDPR,

    • legitimate interest of the Controller in the provision of direct marketing (especially for sending commercial messages and newsletters) pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a). f) GDPR.

 

The purpose of personal data processing is:

  • Processing your inclusion in the database of mentors and exercising the rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship between you and the Controller; personal data is required for successful connection with a mentee (name and address, contact), provision of personal data is a necessary requirement for concluding and fulfilling the contract, without providing personal data it is not possible to conclude the contract or perform it by the Controller,

  • Sending business messages and conducting further marketing activities.

  • We may send you emails about our website(s), updates, newsletters, course(s), registration, course content, your course progress or other updates. We may also use your email to inform you about changes to the course, survey you about your usage, or collect your opinion. You can cancel your participation in any of these email lists at any time by clicking the opt-out link or other unsubscribe option that is included in the respective email or contact us directly at hello@modernmidlifementors.com. You can also contact us in case you like to understand what data you provided to us. We only send emails to people who gave us their clear consent to contact them, either directly, or through a third party. We do not send unsolicited commercial emails, because we don’t really like spam. All personal data are stored, processed and used for email marketing communication by respectable data processors with full data protection.

  • By submitting your email address, you also agree to allow us to use your email address for custom audience targeting on sites like Facebook, LinkedIn and/or any other social media, where we display custom advertising to specific people who have opted-in to receive communications from us.

  • Like many website operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our website(s) ("Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Website(s) that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. In addition, we may use third party services such as but not limited to Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze website traffic.

  • Payments: if you make a purchase on our site, we use only respectable third party payment processors authorized by our bank or payment gateway provider. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our site and related courses and its service providers.

  • Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your computer's hard drive. Like many websites, we may use "cookies" to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our website(s).

  • There shall be no automatic individual decision by the Controller within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR. You have given your express consent to such processing.

 

IV.

Data Retention Period

  1. The Controller shall store personal data

    • for the time necessary to exercise the rights and obligations arising from the contractual relationship between you and the Controller and to assert claims under these contractual relationships (for a period of 15 years from the termination of the contractual relationship).

  2. After the expiry of the retention period of personal data, the Controller shall delete the personal data.

 

V.

Recipients of Personal Data (Subcontractors of the Controller)

  1. The recipients of personal data are persons

    • involved in the delivery of services/execution of payments based on a contract,

    • involved in ensuring the operation of services,

    • providing marketing services.

  2. The Controller does not intend to transfer personal data to a third country (to a non-EU country) or to an international organization. Recipients of personal data in third countries are mailing/cloud service providers. 

 

VI.

Your Rights

  1. Under the conditions set out in the GDPR you have:

    • the right to access your personal data pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR,

    • the right to correct personal data pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR, or restrict processing pursuant to Article 18 of the GDPR.

    • the right to delete personal data pursuant to Article 17 of the GDPR.

    • the right to object to the processing pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR a

    • the right to data portability according to Article 20 of the GDPR.

    • the right to withdraw the consent to processing in writing or electronically to the address or email of the Controller specified in Article III of these conditions.

  2. Furthermore, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection if you believe that your right to personal data protection has been violated.

VII.

Terms of Personal Data Security

  1. The Controller declares that they have taken all appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure personal data.

  2. The Controller has taken technical measures to secure data repositories and repositories of personal data in paper form.

  3. The Controller declares that only persons authorized by them have access to personal data.

 

VIII.

Final Provisions

  1. By submitting the form, you confirm that you are familiar with the conditions of personal data protection and that you accept them in full.

  3. The Controller is entitled to change these conditions. They will publish a new version of the terms of personal data protection on their website or send you a new version of these terms and conditions to the e-mail address you provided to the Controller.

 

These conditions take effect on the day of the publishing at the Website(s) and are accepted by you at the moment of the Website(s) visit or a form submission.
